In een interview wordt Matt gevraagd de Xbox Showcase een cijfer te geven. Dit doet hij niet letterlijk, maar hij vindt wel dat de show een positief cijfer zou moeten krijgen. Hij zegt:
“We actually start the process in December. You know, getting ready for the show here in June. So there’s an awful lot of work, very proud of our teams and the quality that they delivered. The breadth of content that was on display there was just a fantastic. If I go on based on fan reactions and some of the press reactions that I’ve seen out there, I would say that we, you know, deserve a pretty positive grade. It’s always a big source of that’s energizing. It’s inspiring. It’s just so great for our teams to see the reactions this morning. I was watching a compilation of some of the reactions to the Gears of War trailer. And that was so great to see the fans really resonating with the approach that we’ve taken there.”
De Wacht hoopt oprecht dat Microsoft deze buzz kan vasthouden en lekker gaat knallen de komende jaren. Het leek er even niet goed uit te zien voor Xbox, maar als we daadwerkelijk een kijkje in de toekomst hebben gehad tijdens de Xbox Showcase, ziet de toekomst er stiekem misschien toch best wel lekker uit.
