Astro Bot uitgeroepen tot game van het jaar bij DICE Awards
Ook games als Helldivers 2, Balatro en Indiana Jones and the Great Circle vielen in de prijzen
De winnaars van de jaarlijkse DICE Awards zijn bekend. Astro Bot is uitgeroepen tot game van het jaar 2024.
De jaarlijkse Dice Awards worden door sommigen ook wel liefkozend de Oscars van de game-industrie genoemd. De awards worden al sinds 1998 uitgereikt en de nominaties worden bepaald door de pakweg 30.000 leden van de Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, allen afkomstig uit de game-industrie.
Dit jaar is Astro Bot dus als grote winnaar uit de bus gekomen. De PlayStation 5-game won eerder al andere awards, waaronder die van game van het jaar op The Game Awards. De game won op de DICE Awards ook vier andere prijzen. Andere spellen die in de prijzen vielen waren Balatro, Helldivers 2, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Tekken 8, Animal Well en meer.
